KDLE Exam for Dentists in Kuwait

What is the KDLE?

The KDLE (Kuwait Dental Licensing Examination) is conducted by the Ministry of Health (MOH) through the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialization (KIMS). It is a computer-based test at Prometric centers with 150 clinically oriented, case-based MCQs. The exam often includes images and radiographs, and there is no negative marking.

Eligibility & Application

1. Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry (BDS or equivalent)
2. Completion of a 1-year internship
3. 5–6 years of clinical experience post-internship (for general dentists)
4. Application must be employer-initiated (self-application not allowed)
5. Documents required: authenticated degree, experience certificates, passport/civil ID, Kuwait Dental Association membership, photos, etc.
6. Candidates must pass an interview and medical checkup before approval.
